10 Ways to Make Easy Money

If you’re looking for a bit of “easy” money (that exists, right?), try one of these ideas.

Sell yourself. Not as in prostitution, since that’s (mostly) illegal. Think blood, plasma, or breast milk. If you’re willing to get your blood drawn, you can earn up to $50 for the first five donations, and then possibly $60 per week if you go twice per week. Each session takes approximately 90 minutes.

Cut costs. This might not be the most fun option out there, but it will work in a pinch. Shut off cable, reduce your data plan, use cash back offers, or clip coupons for an extra buck. Be careful with this tactic, though. You might end up spending more money in the long run if you shut a service off and then turn it on again later. Those connection fees can get you!

Drive for Uber or Lyft. There are other rideshare driver opportunities out there also, such as Sidecar or RelayRides. If you have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, you can set your own hours and make some extra money in the process.

Watch children or pets.Babysitting is the “always there” solution for a those who need money right away. If you’re reliable and trustworthy, you can command your price. Babysitters can easily make $10-$15 per hour. Look for evening opportunities with multiple children to maximize your income.

Participate in clinical research. I knew a woman who would sign up for random medical testing, and made decent money from it. She would do anything from sleep testing to taking new medication (or a placebo… she was never told). For one test, she made nearly a thousand dollars for a staying at the location for a weekend.

Sign up for a focus group. Provide your opinion on new products. I previously worked for a global manufacturing company who would have people come in for focus groups a few times per month. After spending an hour or two having conversations and answering questions, the participants would leave with a small stipend and a few kitchen gadgets. Sure, you might not need those gadgets but you could…

Sell things on Craigslist or eBay. Do you have a few extra focus group items sitting around your house collecting dust? Sell them online. If you go the Craigslist route, please be safe about it and meet in a public place for the exchange.

Take paid surveys. Sign up with companies like Pinecone Research or look at these work from home opportunities.

Get a part-time job. Not the best option if you’re limited on time, but always an option if you’re desperate. For the best ROI, look for something that gives tips. Bartending, waiting tables, hotel hospitality, and pizza delivery are good part-time jobs that bring in tips.

Get a payday loan. This isn’t the traditional advise you’ll receive from a financial advisor due to the high interest rates that come along with these types of loans. Over a long period of time, you could pay triple digit interest rates But if you’re responsible with your money and know this is just a short-term solution until your next check comes in, this could be the right solution for you.
